Deutsche Bank Kunsthalle…

Open call for artwork, displayed on Unter den Linden.  Schicki Micki (whistles)

After waiting in line for 4 hours, I was finally able to drop off my artwork. But after taking art from 800 other artists, they were full up and I didn’t get into the first exhibit. So, I’ll be in the second exhibit at the end of April and I have to watch this website for more info…

Turbo Tuesdays at F.U.C. Bar

Heather M. Schmaedeke is a professionally trained artist who received her B.A. in Fine Arts from Saint Xavier University, Chicago. Her artwork has been exhibited nationally in galleries and appeared in private collections both nationally and internationally. She is a contributing artist to Art-O-Mat, which vends pieces of art via revamped cigarette vending machines. Additionally she has also been published in Project Mixed Media, Certain Circuits magazine and the DCist.

Heather works in a variety of mediums including acrylic and watercolor, photography, mixed media, sculpture, glass and encaustic. She is always challenging herself and experimenting with new mediums, expanding her repertoire artistically whether independently or through more structured learning environments.
